Dr. Patrick McMillan is a transformational and servant leader committed to equity-driven school improvement and instructional excellence. With over 21 years of experience in public education—including 15 years in high-impact instructional leadership roles—Patrick has consistently improved school accountability outcomes in some of the nation’s largest and most complex school districts. He currently serves as a school administrator in a Houston-area Independent School District, following previous leadership roles with Broward County Public Schools and Somerset Academy Schools, where he supervised instructional and operational teams across multiple campuses.

Patrick’s work is grounded in his belief that the core values of any organization should reflect shared traits of accountability, consistency, integrity, and sustainability. He champions organizational cultures rooted in inclusivity and corporate social responsibility, ensuring that all stakeholder voices are acknowledged and represented in decision-making processes. He is particularly passionate about building communities of practice centered on common goals and shared responsibility.

A recognized advocate for educational equity and innovation, Patrick completed his doctoral research on Algebra I acceleration policies and early college high school models, with a focus on gatekeeper course access and school accountability metrics in Florida. He has served on state and district school turnaround committees across Florida and Illinois, helping underperforming schools implement sustainable, research-based improvement strategies. Patrick also founded PAT Enterprises, LLC, a consultancy focused on job readiness, continuing education, and school reform solutions.

His leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that “the glass is half full, the tree makes a sound when it falls, and the elephant in the room is visible”—symbolizing his growth mindset, high character, and unrelenting commitment to transparent problem-solving. Known for getting results, Patrick leverages systems thinking, data-driven decision-making, and adaptive leadership strategies to produce measurable outcomes—for both students and the professional teams he leads.
